There are close to 14,000 Children living in foster care in the state of Arizona and several hundred of those kids live in group homes in the Queen Creek area. This Summer, Purpose Movement wants to help make their back to school extra special and we need your help! Each year we take hundreds of Children living in foster care and in group homes on a very special shopping spree.
Each child gets a personal shopper volunteer, 30 minutes and $100 to spend. If you have joined us in the past for this event you know first hand how special it is. This is such an incredible event and we have a big goal to take over 200 kids shopping this Summer. Here is how you can help get involved:
#1: Join a team for one of our 1 hour panhandling events. Together we will be standing on street corners in the San Tan Mall area on 6.18, collecting donations through our panhandle project.
#2: Create a fundraising team! This is a fun way to get your friends and family together for our panhandle event. Our panhandle projects have helped raise thousands of dollars in just a few short hours, while interacting with our community and bringing awareness to the cause.
#3 Become a personal shopper! Our volunteers who join us for panhandling will get the first opportunity to sign up to be a personal shopper for the shopping spree on June 26th. This will be a private invitation shortly after our panhandle project.
